Here at Canine Retreat we don't believe your best friend should spend his days inside a small pen with concrete floors and no fresh air.  Most kennels isolate dogs from each other with solid walls between kennels.  Here they get to go nose to nose with their neighbor separated only by chain link.  When the weather is nice they spend the day outdoors under large walnut trees, running and playing with other guests.

Sleeping pallets scattered around the exercise pens give them a place to nap or just rest.  Houses and toys offer incentive to play with other canines, or just hide out in.  All of our exercise pens are partially covered to protect from them from weather, sun or rain.  During the winter months when it is cold and rainy they can slumber or rest inside on toddler beds or on their own pillows, safe and warm.   We offer large raised kennels for small clients who are sometimes intimidated by a large space.  Our regular kennels are all 6 feet square.  We also have larger kennels that can accommodate families with 3 or more large dogs.    Staff are on site 24/7 so if anyone gets lonely or stressed they can be reassured.   When dogs are away from home they are nervous and need reassurance that they are not abandoned by their families.  Music and sometimes television sounds make them feel like they never left home.  Our personal attention and unique facility is geared towards making our boarders happy and their families  comfortable leaving them behind.

This is our largest pen at the back of the building.  There are several toys and pallets in the pen allowing the active dogs lots of choices.  This pen like all our exercise areas are at least two thirds covered for protection from rain and sun.

Ronin one of our regulars was sure this house was perfect for him, but once he got in and lay down the roof popped off.  It didn't stop him from staying there making for the perfect photo op.

Be your best friends,
